Administrator 's Message click here FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR The FMA (Florida Moose Association) is going to be one of the first associations in the Nation to try out "One Moose". We are eventually going to have one Board of Officers running the Lodge instead of the LOOM & the WOTM. They will start changing at the Higher Levels and work their way down to the Lodge Level. It may take several years before we see any change at our Lodge Level. All Lodges in the Fraternity are going non-smoking as of January 1st. We have already gone that way and have one of the best smoking rooms in the District. We still have the NFL package on our TV's. We are able to get most every game on Sunday Please come down and enjoy the game of your choice. We have started having a limited menu during games and the kitchen is doing well. Don't forget we have a suggestion box. We really do read and give any suggestions consideration. Please sign your suggestions so we can make sure to give credit to those who make suggestions. We still need volunteers to help in the kitchen, especially for Breakfast & Steak Night. We are trying hard to get the Lodge back on track and really appreciate your help. The endowment of Fridays has been very good, Thanks to all for your donations. Fraternally, Gene McLean, Administer FROM THE SOCIAL QUARTERS MANAGER Hi All! Here we are in October already. Seems like just yesterday I was writing the last novel and now it's just 69 days until Christmas! As time flies into the holiday season, I want you all to be aware of our food drive for Thanksgiving & the Angel Tree for Christmas. It's never too early to grab things here and there for folks who aren't as fortunate as we are. Please keep them in your thoughts as you shop. Canned or Dry goods, a toy on sale, bring it in! Let's help our community have happy holidays! Sunday breakfast is coming back in November! We still need volunteers to help out with this, so please see Birdy for more info. If you just want to eat, that's OK, too and maybe stick around for football! We have the NFL Ticket and Sundays have been a hoot this year. Even if you don't follow football, it's a fun day to be a Moose. There's a menu if you're hungry & friendly rivalries will make you smile. By the way, it turns out Birdy is NOT married to the Moose but he WAS awarded Moose of the Year in Marianna last week. Kim Hughes, Social Quarter Manager Governor 's Message click here GOVENOR'S MESSAGE Greetings FWB Moose Lodge Members, Another two months have flown by and I appreciate each of you that step up in one way or the other showing your love for the Lodge. I attended the FMA Convention a few weeks ago and it was voted to allow the WOTM chapters to join the FMA. That is a fantastic concept and by the time you read this newsletter, I will have returned from the Moose International "One Moose" town hall meeting (Nov 1-3/Orlando). The town hall meeting will be to discuss how we can combine the men & women into one organization Moose wide where men & women can serve on the Board of Officers and have a lawful vote in lodge business. At the FMA convention, the men were told that the vote would happen in Milwaukee at the International convention but the women were told it could be a few years down the road, so more to come on that as we hear anything. Sunday Breakfast starts back in November and we could use some volunteers. If you able to assist, Come on Down. If you are not able, please show up and support by stopping in to have breakfast. We will be decorating the LOOM float on December 1st would love you all to help make it beautiful. Then it’s the LOOM Christmas Party for the children and a lot more holiday activities to enjoy.
